The high effectiveness of ozone as a replacement for chemical treatment methods in agricultural production has long been proven. The problem was the inability to create mobile ozone installations with the required ozone output. Recently, solutions have emerged that make this possible.
Applications of Mobile Ozone Installation
- Grain disinfection during storage preparation
- Feed treatment
- Poultry facility disinfection
The treatment process takes minutes instead of hours. A single device can service multiple production facilities.
Comparison with Formaldehyde Method
Traditional poultry facility disinfection is performed using formaldehyde aerosol. This method has significant drawbacks:
- High cost of consumables
- Requires 24-hour ventilation after treatment
- Limited effectiveness against viruses and fungi
Displacement Method with Concentrated Ozone
The displacement method with concentrated ozone is also applicable for treating vegetable and fruit storage facilities. The main requirement: replacement of inter-grain space gas with ozone must occur faster than ozone decomposition.
Additional Effects
- Rodents (mice, rats) leave the treated premises
- Pest insects are destroyed
